Caterpillar International Academy, located in Sandy Springs, Georgia, is an internationally focused preschool that blends education and play within a structured curriculum. Our diverse learning environment draws from global perspectives, preparing children to thrive in an interconnected world.
At C.I.A., we believe that early childhood is the foundation for lifelong learning. Our innovative programs nurture each child’s natural curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth. Through daily, play-based activities, students engage in hands-on experiences in art, music, language, math, science, and movement, all designed to support their cognitive and physical development.
As part of our commitment to global education, we currently offer ASL, French and Spanish enrichment, giving children early exposure to new languages and cultures in fun, age-appropriate ways.
We take pride in maintaining small class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring every child receives personalized attention and care. Our teachers are passionate about fostering strong relationships and guiding each child’s journey socially, emotionally, and spiritually through encouragement, exploration, and connection.
Our beautiful campus features a large outdoor playground area divided into two age-appropriate sections, allowing children to play safely while developing important gross motor and social skills. Each space encourages active learning, creativity, and teamwork in a secure and nurturing environment.

As a first-time mom, I couldn't be happier with the exceptional care and support provided by Caterpillar. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew my baby was in the best hands possible. The staff here are not just caregivers; they're like an extended family, providing love, warmth, and guidance to my little one every day.
I am so grateful to have found this daycare and the amazing teachers of CIA. Since my daughter began attending CIA a year ago, her language and social skills have vastly grown. They have a system when it comes to keeping the children engaged and constantly learning, and it works.

C.I.A is definitely one of the best daycare/school in Sandy Springs. They all go above and beyond in not just loving our 2-year-old son but also in providing him with a great educational experience. I did a good amount of reading, research and inquiries before deciding on CIA but our 19-month experience has greatly surpassed our expectations.
Additional Information
We also offer a Summer Program in June and July. The preschool is closed the last week of July for teacher preplanning for the new school year.
